Kevin Glenn, age 31. (Founder of The Wild Nature Project and Lead
Instructor)
A naturalist at heart throughout childhood Kevin has focused much
of his time and attention since he was 19 toward the arts of
tracking, mentoring, and wilderness living skills. In his learning
pursuit he has visited all regions of the United States to learn from
some of the best sources he could find. Today, Kevin lives in his
hometown of Bloomington, Indiana where he loves learning,
spending time in nature, and teaching.

Education, Trainings, and Experiences:

  • Tom Brown Jr.'s Tracking, Nature, & Wilderness Survival
    School, New Jersey, 1999-present (classes taken: Standard,
    Adv. Standard, Adv. Tracking, Scout, The Way of the Scout,
    Philosophy 1 and 2, and more)
  • Completion of Wilderness Awareness School's Anake
    Outdoor School in Duvall, WA, 2000-2001
  • Completion of a 1-year apprenticeship with Mark Morey of the
    Institute for Natural Learning in Brattleboro, VT, 2001-2002
  • Completion of an 8-week Instructor Training Program with
    Hawk Circle in Cherry Valley, NY, 2003
  • Student and Instructor for "The Art of Mentoring" workshop
  • A 7-day full survival-living trip in the Green Mountains of
    Vermont, 2004
  • Lead instructor for rites of passage programs for 7th grade
    Waldorf School teens in Massachusetts 2008-present
  • Lead Instructor for "Coyote Camps" for 4 summers with
    Mark Morey of the Institute for Natural Learning
  • B.A. in General Studies, minor in Outdoor Recreation and
    Resource Management from Indiana University
  • Lots of experience in teamwork settings where the group must
    accomplish difficult tasks and learn to work together,
    communicate well, and come to consensus all while being
    adaptive to changes
We may also have volunteers and guest instructors assisting us in
our programs.
Monique Philpot, age 31.
Growing up hiking in the Black Forest of Germany and fishing and camping in
the midwest fostered her deep appreciation for nature. Monique has a strong
passion for cooking and learning about wild plants. She also enjoys animal
tracking, birds, active dreaming, and teaching others.

Education, Trainings, and Experiences:

  • B.A. in Telecommunications from I.U.
  • Completed Dream Teacher Training Level 1 with Robert Moss
  • EFT (emotional freedom techniques) Practitioner
  • Founder and member of Bloomington Science Club: a group where
    women can explore their interests and teach others about them.
  • Assistant Instructor for Harmony School Summer Camp for 4-6 year olds
  • Tutoring for K-12 kids in all subjects for 4 years
  • Assisted teaching Capoeira Angola for elementary after-school programs
  • assistant adult instructor and teen lead instructor the week-long Art of
    Mentoring class in Vermont about creating a culture of nature connection
  • Instructor Rite of Passage programs for Waldorf kids in Mass.
  • regular instructor for Institute for Natural Learning kid's camps
  • Completed 4 years of the WILD program gaining a naturalist
     background, wilderness skills, and other experiences
  • Has studied survival, philosophy and medicinal plants at Tom Brown Jr.'s
    Tracking, Nature, and Wilderness Survival School
