Winter Bird Language Class
The exploration of "bird language" takes us beyond identification of birds and into the depth of communication between birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, and other wildlife. These animals have many predators and so to stay alive they must avoid being eaten. One of the primary (yet barely known among humans) ways of doing this is by communicating to each other where the predators are moving.
The cool thing is that we can learn to listen to and observe this behavior and interpret what is happening on the landscape far beyond what our senses can perceive. This way of closely observing the body language and behavior of birds actually translates into observing people body language and behavior. So come along and increase your skills of deep observation and listening.
