Nature, Community, and Mentoring
In this 5-class series participants will explore the connections between nature, community, and mentoring. You will gain many strategies for bringing nature-connection and a sense of community more deeply into your life, your family, and your friendships.
Nature-Connection:
- the core routines of connecting with nature
- the art of exciting your student (or child or friend) about nature (or really any other topic!)
- activities and games that enhance our senses, awaken our bodies, and stretch our imagination
Community-Building:
- the 8-directional model of regenerative community
- claiming our life stage/cycle and the opportunities it brings
- people relations; friends, extended family and going beyond the surface with our relations
Mentoring Strategies:
- when and how to use the art of questioning, partner-in-research, storytelling, demonstration, and other strategies
- varied approaches for individual mentoring or group mentoring
- how to create a lesson plan (for your kids, students, or friends) based on the natural cycle of learning (great for parents, teachers, facilitators, mentors, and presenters!)
The class is taught through experiential outdoor activities, discussions, and presentations.
